Once I had finalised the design (soon to be revealed) I had a plumber come in to change the radiator to a better performing one - I chose a beige colour rather than the usual white because I wanted it to blend in with the wall behind as much as possible.

I then had an electrician in to chase in new plug sockets that would work with the new desk design. I knew I wanted a desk lamp, somewhere to charge my laptop and phone, as well as my glue gun occasionally. I decided to have the plug sockets raised above the desk height for ease of use.
