P R E S S
I launched Daisy Whittaker Designs in Autumn 2020. I enjoy developing close, personal relationships with my clients and love being able to transform their homes. I have been fortunate enough to help clients from across Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire and abroad. My projects have ranged from single rooms to full house refurbishments and redevelopments, but I give personal attention to each and every one of them to deliver a professional yet sensitive service.
I am a part time University Lecturer teaching BA Interior Design at South Essex College which allows me to network with young designers and gives opportunity for collaborations. Prior to setting up my business I gained invaluable industry experience working as a Junior Designer at the world-renowned design studio, Kelly Hoppen Interiors. I loved this complex role and developing my skills alongside some of the top senior designers and their teams. I was able to work closely with Ms Hoppen, meet clients and design for international residential properties.
I graduated from University of Arts London with a 1st class Honours degree in Interior Design. Whilst I was studying, I worked for the leading British luxury yacht manufacturer – Princess Yachts. I gained experience in high-end marine design and interiors, designing for small spaces requiring minute precision where every millimeter counts.
Towards the end of my studies, I had the opportunity to stage an exhibition at the London OXO Tower for the general public and leading industry experts which gained a record-breaking number of attendees. As part of my degree, I collaborated with students from the New York School of Interior Design to create a gallery space for an established US artist. This enabled me to forge strong contacts and international relationships.
