Guest / Games Room: Starting Point

After successfully tackling my office, we decided it was time to transform our guest bedroom. The first image shown is what was included on the house listing and when we moved in, we moved Masons existing bed into the space so our guests had someone to stay. We had a spare clothes rail so we added that for seasonal jackets. We knew that we wanted this space to be dual purpose; Mason's games room, and a guest bedroom. It also needs to have ample storage options for things like seasonal clothing, decorations for hosting celebrations, and gifts. The main purpose of the room will be a space for Mason to play Xbox, which he usually prefers minimal natural light for to minimise the glare on the TV. The secondary purpose being a guest room, we decided we could go bold and lean into a darker, moodier style of design for the space. We wanted to create something that was warm, inviting, sexy and has wow factor!
