Guest / Games Room: Prepping the woodwork

The next stage was laborious and Mason spent hours painstakingly stripping the paint of off the door frame and window sill. We tested out different wood stains and chose a beautiful rich walnut tone that will wrap around the entire room. The IKEA Pax wardrobes are perfect, however, they only offer a 25cm door with a mirror, not a plain fronted one. My plan is to clad the fronts of the wardrobe in panelling so that they blend into the wall and are hidden, so a mirror wasn't an option. Instead, we bought a 50cm door and cut it down the middle, we then used some edging tape from B&Q to finish it off. We used a walnut vinyl wrap to wrap both edges of each of the doors so that they look like the walnut stained panelling we'll apply over the top, incase any gaps can be seen.
