Guest / Games Room: Wardrobe fitting & skirting removal

We were super lucky that the return wall behind the door is 177cm, meaning we could perfectly fit an IKEA Pax wardrobe in the space - we went for a 1 meter double wardrobe with split hanging for Masons clothes, and a 75cm storage wardrobe on the left. We put the wardrobes together first, pushed them into place and then added the shelving and interior lights, which come on when the doors are opened. We built a frame above the wardrobes essentially boxing them in, and then added plaster board.

Mason then ripped off the existing skirting boards which were glued and nailed in so securely that they pulled away some of the plaster with them! This wasn't a big issue for us because we knew we would be covering it over again when we come to panel the room.
